Set in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park, 23 actors (and 2 dogs) blend into the background of an area that is normally quiet (but has a lot of foot traffic) and they sneakily alternate between being noisy to completely silent, while continuing their antics. Watching the random reactions is priceless! This awesome video is called called “The Mute Button” created by a NYC-based performance-art group called, “Improv Everywhere.”
Enjoy!
If you found that enjoyable, “Improv Everywhere” has several other videos, such as the re-enactment of the first Princess Leia / Darth Vader scene from Star Wars… on a New York City subway car.
If Star Wars isn’t your thing, you might enjoy the video where they turn a merry-go-round into a horse race, bringing laughter and confusion to the crowd in attendance.
