Disopyramide (Class 1A)

Pharmacology

• Decrease automaticity
• Increase refractory period
• No Effect on AV conduction (No need for cardiac glycoside to be prescribed adjunctly)
• Strong Anticholinergic Effects

Use

• Atrial tachycardia
• Atrial fibrillation

Contraindication

Not to be used with someone with Congestive Heart Failure.
