Sphinx Pose and Neck Rolls

In this photo by Lucie Kout, the woman is in what looks like the Sphinx Pose.

This restores the curve in your lower spine which gets flattened after sitting all day.

Try it sometime.  Like maybe now, if possible.

  1. Just lay flat on your stomach, put your palms in front of you and your elbows under your shoulder.
  2. Then lift your head and heart up with your forearms on the floor.
  3. Settle into it for a few breaths at least.
  4. Then, to add a nice modification to this and release neck tension, roll your neck around really slowly. That releases a good amount of neck tension.
