I was so awestruck while watching this video. The words, “Heaven is Now-Here [on Earth]” came to mind like a confirmation of its truth. This is definitely one of the best time-lapse-videos ever made (with appropriate, captivating music, to boot).
PLEASE WATCH IN HD FULL SCREEN w/SOUND. It is a much better viewing experience.
Hopefully you have a 1080p monitor and good connection. If not, bug a friend that does. It’s worth it.
Next is the most amazing time lapse video of the milky way ever made!
The photographer captured the footage from Mount Teide from the island of Tenerife in Spain. At 32 seconds in, what you’re seeing is a sandstorm coming from the Sahara Desert overnight and the sand can be seen coming from behind the camera and moving ahead, while the stars are shining brightly and the clouds below are being lit up from the Grand Canary island. Plus, he captures a sea of clouds, that really looks like a roaring ocean, with the milky way shining bright above.
Last but not least, the next video is filmed during a phenomena that has no name but the photographer has decided to call it: Arctic Light.
For a couple weeks in May, in the Arctic latitudes, before the Midnight Sun arrives, the sun stays in limbo between setting and rising for 10-12 hours of the day, making the Golden Hour 12 hours long. Magic Hour is that enchanting time an hour before sunrise and an hour after sunset. Imagine magic hour was extended to be 12 hours long.
This wonder can be seen at 1:06 as that is nonstop footage from 9pm to 7am. 😮 Can you imagine the sky looking like that, for hours on end? I think a trip to the Arctic is in order for 2012.
