This here is a coat hanger. Look at it. How much do you think this super fancy thing costs? Just a few bucks, right? Right! What does it take to attach it to a door? Look at it. Three screws. Pretty simple.
Now I just want to know one thing… Why don’t all bathrooms have this? Where am I supposed to put my coat (or purse)? On the floor? No thank you. I’m appalled that most bathroom stalls don’t have a simple hook on their doors. It’s just a hook for christ sakes! When they were installing the doors, did they decide this was going to break the budget? Or are the people in charge so shortsighted that it never crossed their zombie minds? Whatever the reason is, it’s a shame.
Here’s my worse example: At the Snow Summit Ski Resort in Big Bear, CA, when you take the tram up, there’s a restaurant with an amazing view and of course, bathrooms. Imagine, all of your guests are wearing a thick winter jacket, because they just took a tram up to the summit of a ski resort. You would think that there would definitely be a god damn hook inside the stall. But guess what, there are NONE, ZERO, ZIP! And there’s no way anyone is putting your jacket on that floor that’s completely wet from all the melted snow that’s tracked inside from peoples boots. Gross! Doesn’t somebody know a thing or two about hospitality for your guests? :'(
So do you own a business? Does it have bathrooms for your guests? Please go to the hardware store tomorrow morning. Buy some hooks. And screw them in the door. Your guests probably won’t thank you for having them but rest assured some of them will notice this little detail and whisper a phrase gratitude or sigh with relief when they see it.
What do you think? Do you wish more stalls had these coat hangers installed? Or do I sound ridiculous?
