Here I am, hovering, flying, floating in the air. This is the the foundation of all hand-balancing. (And no, I'm not naked. But now that you mention it, I realize I could've been.) Crow Pose was the first arm balance I learned. I am very fond of it because it was what helped capture how it feels to float on my arms. I've shared my experiences before on how difficult and gratifying it was to finally hold this pose for any appreciable amount of time (read: more than 5 seconds). I … [Read more...] about Learning and Mastering the Crow Pose

AcroYoga is an integration of yoga, acrobatics and healing arts. Sometimes it looks like partner yoga, sometimes it looks like a therapeutic/restorative practice for both people. And other times it's a very acrobatic flow. Remember, yoga has many elements to it, it's not sure asana (poses/postures) that we explore but also meditation and pranamaya (breath control). Why do AcroYoga? AcroYoga teaches us about how to connect with each other through communication and trust. The connection not … [Read more...] about The best damn Acro-Yoga videos for beginners
Question I used to workout regularly and then for the past 3-4 months I haven't been able to get back into it and my eating habits are all over the place. It feel so demotivating when I try to workout and I realize I'm not at the level I used to be because I run out of energy and can't complete the same number of sets/reps. When I got back home in LA and turned the bathroom water on to wash my hands, the water blasted open with extreme pressure that I had not experienced for weeks. I had grown accustomed to the water flow being light. So I decided that this extreme water pressure is very wasteful and should be … [Read more...] about Reduce the flow of your faucets to use less water

I've always wanted a YouTube channel to go hang in hand with this blog. I started doing it last year and it's kind of cool that it's happening. It's not easy for me to make videos. They require an extra level of preparation and focus that doesn't always come together to make a guaranteed, great video. I have thrown away bad takes so many times. I often have to try different lines of speech and adjusting the tripod and framing so it's just right takes time too. And then the worst is when you … [Read more...] about Analyzing my YouTube stats (and sharing them with you)
