How to Watch Netflix while PSN is down

In order for Netflix to work, normally you would need to be logged into the Playstation Network (PSN). However, PSN has been down since April 20, 2011 due to hacking and those with a Netflix subscription haven’t been able to make use of it. Well it turns out there’s a very easy workaround that may work depending on what version you have on your PS3.

You just need to open up Netflix, try logging in 3 times. It will fail the first two times but the 3^rd time will simply log you in anyway as if it worked.

If it doesn’t work, I’m sorry, there’s several different versions around and it doesn’t work with all of them.

FYI: I have version 2.02. To check which version you have, before you launch Netflix on the Playstation, press the triangle, go to Information, and you’ll see the version. Let me know which version you have if it does or doesn’t work!

I’m using version 2.02 but when I try to sign in I only get two trys and then a screen comes up “We’re unable to connect you to Netflix… ” I click Try Again and the same screen comes up over and over. This is so frustrating!!

    I see… i’m sorry this is the case! I can play movies or shows like usual. I am not sure why it’s different for every person even though we have the same version. :throws hands up in the air: If I find out something new I will update you guys!

I also run 2.02. I can get to the movie select screen as it normally should be. The problem comes when you try to play a movie. Asks you to log in and then boots you back.
