If you haven’t noticed yet, Facebook redesigned the newsfeed with more emphasis on photos and it highlights big, bold stories. You may new actions appear in the feed as well. More importantly, there’s now Facebook Graph Search which could be really smart in the years to come, considering this is just Version 1.0 to us.
“Facebook has a legitimate shot at being a real player in search because, for one, it has over a billion users already, and for two, because it can provide answers that Google can’t. There is plenty of room for Facebook Graph Search to flourish with or without Google dominating traditional web search, because Graph Search is not traditional web search.” -Snippet from WebProNews
Search for friends or anyone else by name.
How creative can YOU get?
You can combine phrases together, or add things like locations, timeframes, likes and interests to get more specific.
Now that Graph Search is implemented, it’s going to change the way people can search for things online. This new search feature will have an impact on businesses, how people think, interact with each other, and maybe even act. Which makes me wonder… Facebook can easily become a dating tool, too. But you probably already know which of your friends you’d love to date. 😉
